We are currently looking for a Cabin Attendant to join our Hi-Speed passenger service team on a permanent basis.

 

Working under the guidance of the Passenger Operations Manager, On Board Team Leader and Master, you will be part of a small but unique team based on board our Red Jet catamaran vessels. As the crew member responsible for the passenger accommodation, your primary role is to ensure the safety and welfare of our passengers at all times, whilst delivering a professional, friendly and efficient customer experience.

 

This is a rewarding and varied role that combines safety responsibilities, passenger care and operational duties in a fast-paced maritime environment. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference to our customers' journey whilst working in one of the most unique operating environments on the South Coast.

What does the role involve?

 

As a Cabin Attendant, you will be responsible for the safety and welfare of all passengers within the accommodation throughout the voyage, ensuring that company procedures and safety standards are maintained at all times. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the passenger accommodation and promoting a safe environment on board.
  • Responding to incidents, medical situations and emergencies in accordance with company procedures.
  • Overseeing the safe boarding and disembarkation of passengers.
  • Deploying the passenger gangway.
  • Assisting with mooring operations.
  • Checking and collecting tickets.
  • Providing a seamless food and beverage service.
  • Making passenger announcements using the public address system.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the vessel.

You will ideally have experience within a fast-paced customer-focused environment, together with excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to remain calm and confident under pressure.

Training and Development

 

As a safety-critical role, successful applicants will receive a comprehensive programme of maritime, safety and operational training, including:

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Safety Certificate
  • STCW Personal Survival Techniques
  • STCW Proficiency in Medical First Aid, including AED Training
  • Fire Awareness and Practical Fire Extinguisher Training

You'll also have access to our Learning Management System, providing a wide range of development courses and learning opportunities to support both personal and professional growth.

 

Working Pattern

 

This role is offered on a 39.5-hour contract worked on a 4 days on, 4 days off roster, including weekends and Bank Holidays. Shifts will vary between early, middle, split and late.

Applicants must be aged 18 or over, able to travel to and from work for early starts and late finishes, and be willing to obtain an ENG1 medical certificate.
