We're currently looking for a Signature Lounge Crew member to join our Passenger Operations team on a permanent basis.
Our exclusive Signature Lounge offers customers the opportunity to enhance their journey across the Solent with premium facilities, complimentary refreshments, dedicated table service and a relaxed environment with unrivalled sea views. As a member of the Signature Lounge team, you'll play a key role in delivering this first-class experience whilst also becoming an integral member of the ship's crew.

What does the role involve?
As a Signature Lounge Crew member, you will be responsible for delivering a premium hospitality experience within the Signature Lounge whilst maintaining the highest standards of passenger safety and customer care. Key responsibilities include:
- Welcoming Signature Lounge customers on board and checking them into the lounge.
- Providing attentive table service throughout the crossing.
- Serving complimentary food and beverages to customers.
- Ensuring the lounge remains clean, welcoming and presented to the highest standard.
- Managing bookings and processing payments where required.
- Building positive relationships with customers and delivering a consistently first-class experience.
- Monitoring passenger welfare and assisting with the safe operation of the vessel.
- Responding to incidents, emergencies and evacuation procedures as part of the ship's crew.
- Supporting customer service delivery across other passenger areas when the Signature Lounge is not in operation.
As a safety-critical member of the vessel's crew, you will receive specialist maritime safety training and be expected to respond confidently and professionally in emergency situations.

Training and Development
Successful applicants will receive a comprehensive programme of maritime, safety and hospitality training, including:
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Safety Certificate
- STCW Personal Survival Techniques
- Fire Awareness and Practical Fire Extinguisher Training
You'll also have access to our Learning Management System, providing a wide range of development courses and learning opportunities to support both personal and professional growth.
Working Pattern
- Average 41 hours per week
- Worked on a 4 days on, 4 days off roster
- Operating seven days a week, including weekends and Bank Holidays
- Shifts vary between early starts and late finishes

Working Environment
- Primarily based aboard Red Funnel's vehicle ferries; Red Falcon, Red Osprey and Red Eagle.
- All shifts start and finish in Southampton in line with Signature Lounge operating hours.
- Occasional opportunities to support other areas of the business.
- Flexibility towards shift patterns and operational requirements is essential.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be aged 18 or over.
- Be able to travel to and from work for early starts and late finishes.
- Be willing to obtain and maintain an ENG1 medical certificate.
- Have a good standard of education, including confidence with cash handling and booking systems.
- Have previous experience in customer service and a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Be able to work under pressure, use initiative and maintain high standards of service.
