We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time HR Advisor to join our small, friendly and busy HR team to provide responsive, high quality, proactive & legally compliant advice to Line Management in all generalist areas of Human Resources including (but not limited to) Wellbeing, Employee/Line Management advice & guidance, Absence Management, Performance Management and Change Management.

 

Main duties include:

  • Employee Relations casework ie conduct, capability, grievances, probationary reviews and performance management.

  • Advice and guidance on absence management i.e long and short-term sickness, flexible working, sabbaticals.

  • Developing the Wellbeing offering across the business to ensure it remains high on our agenda.

  • The potential to create, develop and maintain HR practices & policies, to support our People strategy may also be required.

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 3 years HR generalist experience in supporting Line Managers with a range of people issues. * CIPD qualified to Level 5 minimum or relevant similar qualification. 

  • Previous experience within a marine or service sector (though this is not essential). * A flexible, resilient & empathetic personal demeanour, demonstrating a confident & professional approach.

 
 

The successful candidate will work 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a hybrid arrangement offering some remote working (typically two days per week). 

This is a fixed term contract, until 31st October 2025
